Xfect MicroRNA Transfection Reagent는 생분해성 나노입자를 이용하여 세포에 microRNA를 효과적으로 형질전환 가능하다. 이 키트에는 2종류의 transfection polymer가 포함되어 있다. 한가지는 Xfect MicroRNA Transfection Polymer로 small RNA의 형질전환에 최적화 되어 있으며, 다른 한가지는 Xfect Polymer로 plasmid DNA 형질전환에 최적화 되어 있다. microRNA만 형질전환 할때에는 Xfect MicroRNA Transfection Polymer만 이용하면 된다. 하지만 microRNA와 plasmid DNA를 동시에 형질전환 시킬 경우에는 Xfect MicroRNA Transfection Polymer에 Xfect Polymer를 첨가하여야 한다. serum이 있을 때도 transfection을 수행 할 수 있다

A FAM-labeled microRNA mimic was transfected into 6 popular cell lines using the the Xfect microRNA Transfection Reagent according to the protocol. 24 hr post transfection, cells were harvested and transfection efficiency was determined by flow cytometry.
